Yad Senapathy is the Jedi Master of Project Management Training

1 min read

Yad Senapathy’s success was born from necessity. In 2003, amid a role transition in his company, Yad found that the positions he most desired required a PMP (Project Management Professional) designation. Both Yad and his wife, Shobha, needed the certification, but their search for an affordable and flexible solution (that didn’t take six months or more to complete) turned up very few options.

Frustration Leads to Innovation

Frustrated by their options, Yad and Shobha set out to create a PMP Certification program for working professionals. Their solution, the Project Management Training Institute (PMTI), guarantees a time-efficient and comprehensive course process that uses adult-learning techniques and boot camp format to get people to their PMP certification quickly and efficiently.

Over eighteen years, Yad and Shobha have worked with experts and course creators to perfect PMTI’s face-to-face and virtual training.

Influence and Expertise

Since entering the PMP training world and perfecting their approach to certification for working adults, Yad has carved out a niche for himself as a subject matter expert and influencer in the PMP world. He has contributed to Forbes articles on Project Management topics and devoted extensive efforts to the PMBOK® Guide 5th and 7th editions.

Hard Work and Results

Yad’s background prepared him well to keep improving processes to reach desired positive results. The American Dream fed Yad’s drive to seek educational opportunities during his early years in India. With a goal of graduating from school and getting a job in America, Yad studied hard and lobbied schools even harder to gain a full-ride scholarship to Kansas State University eventually. His upward trajectory and self-growth process laid the foundation for the eventual creation of PMTI. Yad always knew there was a better way to get from “point A” to “point B”. If there weren’t one, he would create it.

Project Management As An Art

Yad’s LinkedIn account says that he is the “Jedi Master” of Project Management training, a title bestowed upon him by his students. He could also be considered an artist.

“Project Management is an art you will spend a lifetime mastering,” he says, “It involves exploring your strengths, confronting your fears, and striving to be the best version of yourself every single day!”

By constantly striving to be the best version of himself and pushing others towards that end goal through innovative and exceptional training, Yad has earned the “Jedi Master of Project Management” label, time and again.
